Unpacking Retrograde Motion
We begin by looking into the origins of the Zodiac itself, and from where and when this view of the heavens originates. Then we’ll compare and contrast this with other views, from both before and after the Zodiac. We can then begin to understand these various views like lenses on a camera. We can take them off and put them on, depending on the view we want to capture. Once we do that, a new richly varied perception of retrograde motion comes into view -one that challenges many pre-conceived notions that arise from being stuck with only one lens in our camera bag.
Secrets of the Retrograde Loops
My discoveries show that there are 8 basic latitudinal loop shapes potentially traced in the sky by a planet during its retrograde motion, depending on its relationship with its nodal axis. Join me to uncover the secret meanings of these individual dances. We’ll lean on sources as varied as the Arabic Picatrix to Dane Rudhyar to build a new understanding.
Predictive Applications of Planetary Nodes, the Latitude Cycle and Rx Loops
This lecture presents pioneering research which illustrates planetary nodes, the latitude cycle and retrograde loops as three elements of a unified picture of planetary motion. Going beyond simplistic pictures derived from a single dimension of east/west motion along the ecliptic (celestial longitude) and moving into understanding and incorporating the vertical dimension of planetary motion known as celestial latitude, we tap tremendous predictive potentials. Varied examples from nativities, political elections, economic booms and busts and sporting contests are provided.
