Eclipses can seem scary, but they actually offer rich insights into the birth chart and tremendous opportunity for change! Associated with the Nodes of the Moon, eclipses trace the process of transcending old patterns (South Node) and growing in new directions (North Node). As eclipses move through the signs of the zodiac and the houses of the birth chart, shifting signs every 18 months, they show which areas of life currently demand your attention – and your willingness to change. Eclipse cycles show where you’ve confronted similar challenges in the past, and how you might handle them even more effectively moving forward.

This workshop explains what makes eclipses special, takes a close look at the 2024 eclipses, and offers interpretations of eclipses in the houses of the horoscope and in aspect to natal planets – plus the prenatal and progressed eclipses!

April Elliott Kent has studied astrology since 1973 and has practiced professionally since 1990. She is author of three books: Astrological Transits (Fair Winds Press 2015), The Essential Guide to Practical Astrology (Alpha/Penguin 2011) and Star Guide to Weddings (Llewellyn Worldwide 2008). A popular lecturer, she’s served on the faculty of UAC, ISAR, and SOTA conferences. April also served as president of the San Diego Astrological Society, on the board of NCGR San Diego, and as a member of the AFAN Steering Committee.
