Traditional Astrology: Assessing the Planets
Western Astrology has ancient roots, some of which are being rediscovered and reinvigorated. Let’s explore the past to discover how astrology was understood as the framework was developed. The logic and philosophy of these underlying concepts can give us a depth and richness as we apply our astrological talents to the charts of today. During this event, we will learn and explore the factors that are used to assess planetary condition.
Primary qualities and perceptions of the planets
Understanding how the night sky translates to the chart
Exploring what planetary cycles with the Sun can tell us about the direction and visibility of the planet we are evaluating
The signs and rulership
Houses and planetary condition
Aspects and relationships
Conditions of maltreatment and bonification
Throughout the workshop, we will explore example charts, building the data needed for a nuanced assessment of how the planet will operate. In the end, you will be able to assess a planet based on multiple factors to better pinpoint the strengths and weaknesses in a chart.
